Pill Popping

Throughout my treatment for Myeloma I am required to take a cocktail of pills, morning, noon and night in order to tackle the disease via Chemotherapy and protect my body from the effects of the Chemotherapy .

Added to that there are kidney drugs to tackle the problems in this organ too and general pain killers

Aciclovir

Antiviral medicine

Allopurinol

Kidney protetion medicine

Co-trimoxazole

Infection control medicine

One tablet, twice (am / pm) on the day preceding the Valcade i.e Monday and Thursday

Cyclophosphamide

Chemotherapy Tablets

Highly toxic and handle with care – 6 tablets taken at once on a Friday

Dexamethasone

Steroids

Ten tablets taken at once on the day Valcade is administered and on the day afterwards (Friday / Saturday  and Tuesday / Wednesday)

Lactulose

Laxitive

Metoclopramide

Ondansetron
